Walthamstow, East London is where the magic happens. Or at least where it begins.Your garment was designed by Anna Skodbo in our Walthamstow studio. It was pattern cut in E17 and the first sample made and fitted on a range of fit models in as many sizes heights and genders possible, ensuring the versatility which means so much to us.
This limited edition double knit jersey stripe fabric is limeted edition because there are only two rolls left and when they're gone they're gone! It is made from 100% GOTS certified, unbleached cotton which is spun in Portugal and knitted right here in the UK
phannatiq is known for unique and striking fabric prints. The designs are applied to our organic fabrics by Uros, who runs the family business Europrint in Slovenia. Established 25 years ago, it has a reputation for quality and ecological awareness.
A lot of our patterns get graded and digitised here in London. The Grading Bureau receive our paper patterns and plot them into a computer programme before printing them on card for our studio or local factories or emailing the digital pattern to our overseas factories or graders. Some factories do grading as well, but not all.
Not all factories do grading or have the software and equipment to print out the patterns we send over. Alojzija has been grading patterns for decades and is something of a legend in Slovenia.
We seek to minimise waste, so fabric scraps are sent to Romania-based REDU, which transforms them into our new phannatiq baby clothes.
The 100% cellulose fabrics (cottons, bamboos etc) get collected from the studio and our London factories and go to local artist Helen Porter to be made into paper
